Easiest option for iPod/iPhone?
Easiest option for iPod/iPhone?
Ive been searching and reading about all the different iPod and iPhone options but was wondering what you guys would suggest for my particular situation.
I want to use an AUX cable, not an iPod cable. I have a gooseneck that already charges my iPhone so I just need an AUX cable to run to the ipod/mp3 player/iphone.
I DO NOT care about steering wheel controls, or using the headunit to change songs/playlists. I want to use the iPod itself to change through songs and playlists so the steering wheel controls and HU options I dont need at all.
I cant find many threads on the GROM device, and I dont like the fact that with the nissan iPod integration kid the iPod has to sit in the trunk. Ive also heard mixed reviews on the iSimple as well.
Basically, I am looking for the simplest way to have just a single AUX cable to my iPhone and DO NOT need any steering wheel/HU control or options, those dont matter to me.
Hope someone can help. Thanks!

Even simpler and cheaper is one of these:

I installed two of them in the last week for my in-laws, if I hadn't been **** about tucking wires and such to make the install invisible, would have been done in less than 15min.
You'll need a pair of antenna adapters though - motorola to nissan and nissan to motorola.

It is a wired FM modulator - it just needs power (back of the cig. lighter) and then plugs into where the antenna for the car's stock antenna did, with the stock antenna plug going into the unit. When the power switch is turned on for the unit, it cuts the antenna going in and replaces it with its own signal, so there's no interference from other stations at all. It's basically as good as the signal would be if you were parked right under an FM station's transmitter with no other radio stations for hundreds of miles.
