Kenwood DDX516: Opinions? Alternatives?

Alright, haven't even owned the car for a week and already want to change out the stereo. I plan on doing the whole lot, aftermarket everything...but first thing's first, the headunit. I'm not really interested in navi or blutooth, so I don't need anything fancy. Just a nice 2-din that's good for ipod and dvd's. After some research I came to this...

Kenwood DDX516: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DDX5....html?tp=20220

Yes I plan on buying from crutchfield (half off the metra and most install components included) and am considering buying it refurbished for $100 less. Just wanted to get some input and suggestions for alternatives if you think there is a better unit to be had for the price. Also, I'm not a fan of the Pioneer 3200 due to its front usb input. Who wants wires coming out of the front of their units? Thanks!

I greatly prefer the iPod interface on Pioneer over Kenwood. Pioneer announced the 4300 at CES, it has a suggested retail of $500, but will probably go for about $400 or less soon after being released.

Ah, nice find. Seems to be exactly like the 4200 except with Pandora. Do you know if it works just with the iphone's pandora or can it pick up android phones as well? If only crutchfield had it...I don't know of any other sites that I could get $100 off that metra adapter. Why do you prefer the pioneer interface over kenwood? I hardly have any experience with video recievers. Thank you for your input!

iPhone only for now, but this generation of Pioneer units seems to really recognize smartphone integration, so there's always that possibility.

The interface on the Pioneers is just far superior, you can hit up youtube for people showing off the interfaces on both and judge for yourself though.

The Pioneer is still about 2 months away, and the 516 isn't a terrible unit at all, so definitely up to you on how to go.
