I got my 170A HO alt for my Accord from them. Also bought an Odyssey PC1200 and PC2150 from them. I'd say they're reputable.

I'm running a JBL GTO 1201.1. Haven't done the big 3, but I have a red top up front and yellow in the trunk. Not my top choice but can't complain for 170 shipped total for both. Lowest it drops is 13.8V. No dimming or anything either. An upgraded battery would help out a ton. I'd do that before buying an HO alt. Go with the cheapest first.

I think it's 120amps. 120 is really good compared to other cars. Even enough to support a good system (with a good gel battery).
When you get to needing a second battery/capacitor in the back, with 2+ amplifiers, then you may want to look into a HO alternator.
Basically you will need a better alternator whenever your current alternator is spending more amps on running everything in the car than to charge the battery (the battery just takes whatever leftover amps it needs to recharge).

The electrical information should be available to find out how many amps your head unit, amplifiers, speakers, crossovers, draw (amps).
Add it all up and that tells you how many amps are left over to charge the battery(ies).

I Will bring this to life again...I have been doing alot of researching....I currently have a capacitor installed/Optima Red Top on the car....however I do have alot of Lighting Mods on the car and JL audio e2150, Full components, Head-unit, 2 JL Audio w3v2 and 500/1 when I turn up past volume 20 on the car I have serious dimming problems including headlights pulsing.

Currently I do not have a grouding kit installed anymore but I will be switching and installing that again just need to be able to wire-tuck the grounding kit so its hidden.

i have been reading though and our current alternator is a 110 Amp alternator. I have seen that the 04 Nissan Pathfinder's alternator is direct replacement to our current cars and is a 220amp alternator! you can get them off ebay for about 250 shipped new with warranty. I think I am going to take this route next after I install a grounding kit on my car to see if that corrects alot of my problems. my optima red top is plenty of power to run all of this but need to fix the dimming issues so I dont get pulled over at night.

The crazy thing is lastnight I did some testing with a battery charger on my car....I started the car and turned the volume up to about 20-22 so that I could get the lights to pulse. I took the battery charger and plug it up to my battery and cranked it over to 225 on the battery charger...sure enough lights pretty much stopped dimming at that output. As soon as I pulled the charger off immediately the lights went back to pulsing. I think this basically showed that my alternator wasnt able to product enough current to run everything on my car. Any input would be greatly appreciative.

I'll checkout my NISSAN dealer on Tues as they might be busy on Mon. As I bought my G35 and my 2011 Frontier 4x4 from them I think I'll get a discount.

The specs for an 04 Pathfinder say the alt. is 110 amps like ours. NO 220 amps.
