And by the way thank you to everybody who is helping me out. I really appreciate it

you dont have to get a new head unit

you can use a Line out put converter. http://www.scosche.com/car-audio/product/999

It wont sound as great as a new head unit, but it will work and you may be happy with that. If not you can save up money for the dash kit.

Dash kit runs from $200+ depending on which style and brand you want.

a line out put converter takes the signal from you speakers and provides RCA outputs so you can connect an amp to your factory set up.

If you go the the link and click on product manual, they have a picture showing how to wire it up.

Its pretty simple to install and the unit it self is about the size of a cell phone

A head unit will provide a much better signal and have much more tuning options.

but if you are on a budget this will hold you over till you get all the parts your need for a head unit install

We installed this same LOC in my cousins Trans am a few months ago and he loves the way it sounds.
Is he an audio geek like me?
not even close.
But he loves the way it sounds.

Get the radio if its free. The LOC will be fine if you want to put that money in to speakers. Get a W3 and a ported box and a small JL amp like the xd600/1. It will rock your 19 yr old non audiophile head off. Its a great building block and you'll love it. If you need a deal on the gear let me know but check with your local guys first and deal with them. Enjoy

Out of your $800 range. It would be retarded loud thou. The sub and amp alone at cost would be at / over $800. I personally have a 10w6 on a 250/1 but I'm 31 and my record setting days have past. I've been loud and do it for the sq nowdays. What ever you buy make sure its the best product for the $$ or don't buy it. JL entry level is better than most peoples high end.

all out meaning???

all out you want it loud or all out meaning you wanna spend a lot of money.

A W7 is ok but not that impressive in terms of getting loud.

Im currently running a LMS-R made by Tc sounds. It sounds MUCH better and hits the low notes that a W7 could only dream of.

The LMS comes alive below 40hz

the W3 is the same price as the LMS-R and I promise you it sounds much better

the W3 is very boomy

I like the way the W6 sounds but its just way to much money for what you get

you can get an ID max for almost the same price
