Cool 2003 G35 Navigation Swap

Currently I have a 2003 G35 Sedan without Navigation but I would like to buy a used unit from a salvaged car and instal it. Can anyone give me some comments on what is necessary to get this done. If I buy the entire unit with the dvd on ebay lets say, do I need to buy harness still or do these come with preinstalled wiring? Just trying to see what the best route would be to take and get a navigation unit installed, preferrably the Infiniti factory one.

Thanks ahead of time.

It's a assload of pain.

You're looking at removing everything necessary to put all this, plus the navigation drive unit in your car:

After doing all that, you'll have something with outdated maps, and less functionality than a $100 garmin.

O Damn! I didn't think everything had to be gutted. I thought that a swapping it out would work. Expected the cars to be pre-wired in case someone decided to buy this unit from the dealer. That sux. Garmin is doing the work for now. Thanks for the replies guys.

Can't put a price on the style points thought. As outdated and expensive as it is I so want the additional monitor. Just because...

Nope, not pre-wired at all.

It would be nice to have, especially when I like the car and have no intention of getting rid of it...I guess GARMIN will be sticking around after all
