subtle base

I installed my 10" mtx sub in a ported box yesterday and it hits really really hard I wanted to add a bit of kick to my bose system but the way it is rite now gives me a head ache.. I have the LOC on the lowest setting, base boost set to 0 and the main output set to a bit above all the way down.. what should I set the high and low cut off too? Its overpowering! Also, should I take out bose sub in the rear deck to allow airflow between trunk and cabin?

what sub
what amp
What are the specs of the ported box?

need model #'s

I'm betting it's your midbass not blending in with the sub that's making it seem overpowering.

get a sealed box. is not as distorted, more of a clean tight punch.

wickedcas.com in Kingston, NH sold me a non-ported enclosure for a 10" sub that fits in the driver's side corner of the trunk. I think it was $300, but I'm not sure. Sounds good to me.
