Upgrading sound system

aftermarket or any audio really is a luxury.
luxurys are expensive for the good stuff.
you can go buy a boss amp for $100 and it will be ok, if you want to step up to a higher end then you can spend what your budget allows
ive heard numerous set up with cheap/low line audio and it sounds ok.
People on here act like their equipment is top notch and if you dont run what they recommend, the product is trash.
Find stuff that fits your budget and that you like
dont go into debt because of amps/speakers/subs

I hated the metra kit I had. The buttons looked cheap to me and I didn't think it matched that well. I had it in there two weeks then offed it on ebay for whatever I could get. The JDM kit matches perfectly as far as the buttons and finish are concerned. Cost a bit more but way worth it in the end.

From my DDin resource guide:
What's the difference between the Metra and JDM, besides the price?

The surrounding material match for the 03-04 Metra kit is very good, but the buttons are gray soft rubber, they're the only buttons you see, so not many will notice. If you have the factory nav, you can't use the Metra kit. Also, the paint on the Metra kit is not as durable as the OEM/JDM piece and scratches off easily.
In favor of the Metra, is that it is "true" double-din sized and doesn't require a trim kit with most stereos.
Metra on the left, JDM on the right:
The 05-07 is entirely different. The surrounding material does not match. The JDM/OEM is brushed aluminum trim. The material on the Metra is aluminum colored plastic. In addition, the buttons are soft gray rubber, but they're the only buttons you see, not many people will notice. If you have the factory nav, you have to use the JDM piece anyway (Part number 68260-7W010).
