Pioneer Avic x920bt install problem with trim, please help!

Hey guys, I was in the process of installing my JDM Trim Kit and Pioneer x920bt and came to a problem when the headunit was installed. The gap around the headunit can't be fixed by a universal trim piece.. What did you guys do to have a clean install and to make it work?? Any suggestions or pics guys would be great.... Kind of in a jam... They are suggesting I order the metra kit, but... I'd rather not...

The 900 series tend to be smaller than the trim opening, so u just have to be creative. I just left the small gap in mine and put a black backing to fill the hole. Barely noticeable after awhile. Also, u should post this in the audio section.

took it to Custom Sounds here in town and had them install it. i dont like messing with electronics. but i think they just used a dd trim and customized it to fit with everything. it looks great with no fitment problems. credit to them on it

if you do not want to do the custom trim piece you can go to home depot and buy those small window weather sealant and cover the gap with that

Is that an aftermarket GPS and cd/dvd player? So what's the price of that unit?

As the title of the thread states - Pioneer AVIC-X920BT. $650 from amazon, less on eBay.
