Problem with trim when installing Pioneer Avic x920bt.. Please help!

Hey guys, I was in the process of installing my JDM Trim Kit and Pioneer x920bt and came to a problem when the headunit was installed. The gap around the headunit can't be fixed by a universal trim piece.. What did you guys do to have a clean install and to make it work?? Any suggestions or pics guys would be great.... Kind of in a jam... They are suggesting I order the metra kit, but... I'd rather not...

I would assume something custom? Or do you not want to go that route?

Had the same problem with my Z120, didn't quite fit through the opening inside the little Scoshe trim ring and the trim ring itself was a little too wide to fit inside the JDM trim plate. A little trimming here and there and it worked, then I got carried away and trimmed too much, then I just got a sheet of black ABS plastic ($12, give or take) and started hacking away again. Worked out fine but no pics available at the moment can't find my camera, sorry

I had to trim down the kit my AVIC came with in order to fill in the gaps around it.
