Double Din for the Skyline

Maybe be a dumb question

First off, I have a 2004 JDM Skyline 350GT

I have been reading the numerous post on what you need to do to install a double din on the G35.

Does anyone know if i would still need to purchase a new a/c control like what you guys have to do with the G35 or can i just get the dash kit and thats it?

Yes! JDM & USDM are exactly the same ride...

Re: Double Din for the Skyline

Actually I am in the Cayman Islands. I just bought a skyline from japan and i want to put in Kenwood 7015 touch screen. But i was asking since i have a skyline instead of the G35 would i still have to buy the A/C controller in order to do the dash kit switch?

Re: Double Din for the Skyline

yes and you'll have to pay the $50 shipping fee like we did heh if you can afford a $1500 dvd screen im sure you can spare $400 for the double-din, oh and install it yourself to save yourself $200 that a shop would charge

Re: Double Din for the Skyline

Its sucks when you think about it. 400 for a dam dash kit. That 400 could get so many other things for the ride. but oh well.

thanks for the info guys

No doubt! I thought the same thing. At least you didn't spend 400 dollars for a 200 dollar HU!

Re: Double Din for the Skyline

we are actually very lucky to have a double-din dash kit from the factory. That way it looks integrated and no cheesiness to it. At least we have a double-din kit! Most luxury cars dont have anything remotely like this. You'd have to rework the entire dash to fit a screen in.
