06 GCoupe - JDM DD; Dual CC Button Help
Hey guys,
I've been going through as many of the double din threads the past few weeks to learn as much as i can about this stuff. Everyone has had great input and anything written by Wrathernaut has been a huge help. Tomorrow, I'm installing:
Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD
JDM DD Conversion with Dual Button
Misc stuff: antenna adapter and metra steering wheel control adapter
Pretty excited...one thing that I can't seem to find is instruction on how to make the dual cc button work on the jdm dd plate. The one i have has the button included...i bought used. I was told that the button doesn't not light up (and therefore, not connected)...and told by others that it was a simple soldering thing.
Any ideas on what i need to do tomorrow during the install to ensure that the button works properly?

It sounds like the button works properly from your description, otherwise, the button itself is an easy job to desolder and move to the JDM a/c controls.
The LEDs for those buttons are freakin' tiny!
If you have an assistant, a soldering pen, and make a sacrifice of rosin to the electronics gods, you might be able to get it off and back on successfully.
