DoubleDin Issue
I was asked to post this for BrnSkyline who seems to have ? problems posting to this forum:
I have a problem with my Double Din...
I bought my double din kit from Strictly Z and followed the instructions in the DIY guide. After the install everything seems to work fine, and my new Kenwood screen rocks. The only problem I have is the A/C. I have to set the temp on 60F in order for the A/C to blow cold air (Its freezing). If I just set it up on 61F it blows hot air (Heater).
Can anyone help BrnSkyline with this issue?

Re: DoubleDin Issue
again, its either the AC plug was not reconnected correctly or less likely, the temperature sensor wire has been disconnected during dash swap.
i would try to disconnect and then reconnect the AC plug to the AC controller. I dont know how to reconnect the temp sensor wire if fooling around with the plug doesn't work..
hope this helps...

Re: DoubleDin Issue
I had the exact same issue when my DD kit was installed. It ended up that a plug was disconnected under the steering column. Call Dave at Sound Xpressions in Phoenix, AZ 602-438-0352 if you have trouble finding it. He is who worked on my car and he is a G35 coupe owner as well!

Help...anyone (DOC RON maybe??)
I have not found a solution to the abovementioned AC problems. What does the AC sensor wire look like behind the dash and where is it located specifically. I have checked under the steering column and nothing was disconnected. DOCRON: Thank you in advance for your help.
I've been reading the Infiniti Service Manual about our air conditioners (section ATC).... very interesting!
Ok....this sensor thing never happened to me but I'll tell you what i read about what we're talking about.....
The official name of the thing is called the "in-vehicle sensor" (ATC-107). It is located in/on the driver panel located beneath the steering column. IF you have done the doubleDIN conversion process, the driver panel is the plastic panel you unscrew near the trunk release latch beneath the VDC button at the very beginning. This is the panel that you drop down to gain access to the driver-side center console side panel where one of the 12V cigarette lighter plugs are.
There is a little grill on that driver panel (which I always wondered what it was for curiously enough) located about 3/4 of the way in from from the driver doorside. If you drop the driver panel down, the in-vehicle sensor is attached to the *inside* of that panel.
I can see how the in-vehicle sensor and its wires might get disconnected when you work on the dash disassembly and drop that panel down and let it hang.
So, what I would do is this: (again, this is from what I read in the service manual and not from personal experience)
1. Raise the steering wheel.
2. Remove the screw located below the trunk release latch beneath the VDC button.
3. *gently* Drop down the driver panel.
4. Check the "in-vehicle sensor" and its wire connection.
5. See what happens....
Let me know if this doesn't make sense....sorry I'm at work so I can't take any pictures to illustrate what I'm trying to describe.......

Thank you DOC. Before I attempt to correct the AC sensor using your directions, would you be able to email or fax the pertinent pages out of the Infiniti Service Manual? This would help me out tremendously. Please let me know.
