Please help!: Questions regarding a system install
Searched around the forum and found nothing about this topic, sorry if its a repost. I have a 04 G coupe with bose + oem navi. Recently installed a Pioneer Avh-p3200dvd + PAC ROEM-NIS2 (Thanks Wrathernaut). I bypassed the pioneer using the relay method as seen in the pic below. It requires the relay to be tapped on the remote wire. So my question is im planning to get a system soon and the amp remote wire needs to be tapped on the remote wire as well. Will that cause any overload? stuff blowing up? or other issues? If it has no effect, does it matter if they amp remote wire is tapped in before or after the relay? Lastly, how did you guys route your amp power wire? Did you have to drill the firewall or anything?
Appreciate the help thanks.
The bypass method

The bypass method
It shouldn't be a problem. The worst thing that's likely to happen is that the relay or amp don't turn on. If that happens, just connect the amp power on signal to the cigarette lighter's power wire.
Amp power wire should be routed through the rubber cap in the battery compartment along with all the factory wires that go through there. From there, just run it under the carpet along the floor to the trunk.

Your relay will draw around 160mA of current. Your remote signals for any modern day amp will draw < 10mA You shouldn't have any problems running a relay and 2 amps off of one remote output.
