SOmeone please help me with a setup

I have 400 dollars to spend on a sub, amp, box, and wires. One ten inch sub is plenty for me. Can someone please give me some suggestions. I know 400 dollars isnt enough for the best equipment. I also have the coupe, and i play alot of golf so it would be nice to be able to have a golf bag fit in the trunk still.

This a good combo? Or do those subs suck?

Doable.

Will say, though from the reviews i've read on the dayton, they shine better on vented vs sealed. They do work in smaller boxes, though.

Vented needs .66 cubes which is pretty tiny.

I'd opt for the 8 over the 10.

You can get it here a lil cheaper

Once you add the amp and wiring, box will still exceed budget

i want to stay with the ten because the zenclosure is for a single ten. so final set up here is a little over budget. Will this sub and amp work well together... an alpine type r ten inch 2 ohms. and a kicker 500 watt amp zx500. I dont really know if that amp is powerful enough?

zen is too small for the sealed 10

needs .7 gross with a sub displacement of .4, so you'll ideally need 1.1-1.2 cubes for it sealed.

It'll work in a smaller enclosure, bit you'll sacrifice low end and efficiency
