Lightbulb Help with Docking Station

My Del 600m docking station does not seem to work with my inverter. I tried two different inverters. Both work when I plug them directly into the laptop but when I try to use the docking station the computer said there is not enough power supplied to the station. Any help?
Thanks,

How much power can your Inverter supply? According to the Dell website, both the Laptop and the Port Replicator use 90 watts of power each.

Docking station, inverter, Carputer

The laptop itself works off my 75 Watt inverter. I tried using a 300 Watt inverter for the docking station and it still does not work. What inverters are others using?

Stupid question, but have you tried plugging it into a normal, everyday wall socket? Are you sure it works that way? My Latitude docking station knows the difference between different Dell power bricks. If I plug in the brick that came with my laptop, it reduces my laptop to half speed and complains that there isn't enough power. I had to obtain a higher wattage power brick to have it work right.
