Can't hear music from driverside's speakers

I'm kinda of worry right now from your warning GR6RR. I only got this car for less than a month...
Haha, my name is Sam, Willis is an old nickname. 
Anyways, mine did the same thing. Left speaker would be noticeably quieter than the right speaker ONLY when listening to CD's. When I switched to radio, however, the left speaker worked just fine. Then I got that nifty tip about hitting the left side of the console, and it worked!

When the control board on the radio+a/c faceplate goes out, the a/c will be stuck at 60 degrees.
My AC did not act up at all. The only thing that happened after I hit the left side of the console was that the left speaker worked. Hope it works for you, too.
I don't see why it would. I feel like it would take more than a bump to upset the AC. I could be totally wrong though.
