2007 Bose specs?

Figured there would be a sticky with this info...

Power ratings of the amp(s)
Frequency responses
Speaker sizes, ohms, power handling, etc.

All of it.

Can anyone point me to the breakdown?

Thanks!

Might help if you specified coupe/sedan. If you're asking about sedan, you should be in the V36 a/v section not the V35 a/v forum.

But since your garage lists a v35 coupe I'll give that info.

Bose does not publish any specifications on power output, handling, frequency response.... basically, because their stuff is terrible, and probably wouldn't even come close to any specifications they tried to adhere to. The speakers are about 3ohm though, and the full system was sold as 222 watts in 2003, and later years omitted the wattage. And you know that's peak watts. And you know it's not going to get anywhere near that. I'd say realistically, it's close to 60w RMS.

Speaker sizes though for the v35 coupe:
Front door: 6.5"
Tweeter: ~1"
Rear side panels: 6.5"
Rear deck: 6x9"

Oh, and for reference, here's what the "amp" for the sedan looks like inside.

Feel free to point and laugh.

I don't think the bose have changed from 2003 coupes, has it? If not...

My best guess is...222watts total(probably peak power) divide by 6 speakers(the description says 8 speakers but don't count the tweeters which probably shares the power with 6.5 speakers on the front doors).....

which is 37 watts peak per channel. RMS is probably half of that which 18-19 watts RMS per channel. Yeah...it sucks.

The paragraph on the Bose stuff was almost disgusting.

Yeah, Bose measured stuff... which is why it's in the exact spot every other car manufacturer stuffs speakers.

I was hoping the speaker specs were included, it's hard (but Bose can do it) to **** up speakers.

I've got a decent 5 channel Fosgate Punch amp from ages long past.

Looks like I am buying speakers too.

Thanks all.
