For those considering replacing their stock speakers with Infinity 60.9cs components

Awesome news -- thanks for the info! I am about to start my installation this weekend.
Btw, what type of double sided tape did you (people) use to mount the tweeters and crossover component to the door panel? Is it regular 3M double sided tape (such as "mirror tape")? I have also seen (at Home Depot I believe) a "permanent" double sided tape that has a red backing.
Thank you -- Cameron

Vehicle: 2003 Infinity G35 Coupe
I am in the the process of mounting my Infinity Kappa 60.9CS component speakers. I am trying to determine which of the standard factory wires are the audio in wires. When I look at the bundle of cables that come from the car into the door, obviously there is a red & green pair of audio wires that connect to the main woofer in the door. However, if you look at the picture somewhere the tweeter's green & red audio wires split off. The tweeter's wires does NOT come from the main woofer. So my question is this: if you look at the picture you will see a small white plastic box attached to the big bunch of cables that came into the door. Is this white plastic box some sort of "component" crossover that takes an audio in line, and then splits it to an audio out for both the woofer and tweeter...?
How can I determine which is the main audio in wires...???
Thank you -- Cameron

C, not sure but for some reason your pic comes up the same size and I can't tell much from it.
I can say though that the speaker leads for both the woofers and the tweeters are separate from that bundle there. Although I'm not sure about the internal crossover question. You could figure it out easily though, just see what each lead sounds like on your 6.5 (low volume) and if they're different you're right.

Sorry, I haven't been back to check in. Looks like you've gotten it figured out. As you've found, the "spike" will easily pull out with a pair of pliers. Any good double-sided tape will work, as the sail panels, once installed, will hold the tweeter in place.
Nice job adding some photos to the thread. I found some on my phone, but you've beaten me to posting them.

Top Teke -- I am not sure why you see the photo in the small/thumbnail version. When I clicked on one of the thumbnails it also showed me the small thumbnail version. However, after I closed the small picture and go back to the original thread then I do see the larger picture... Not sure why -- I think you see the small/thumbnail version while the browser is downloading the larger picture... (???)
I used the 'advanced editor' and used the 'attachments' button to upload the pictures. Do I need to do it another way?
