Nav Housing in Non-Nav '05 Coupe

I have had a Avic-N3 installed in my cubby for a long time and recently installed a HKS Camp 2 with a 7" LCD monitor in a DD kit.

I have decided to move the 7" LCD to a '05 Nav housing which I picked up used and get a regular DD radio (Z-130BT) to put in the DD kit.

Anyways I'm looking at the wiring diagram and I got most of the wiring figured out except one, I'm looking at Pin 5 which says Limit SW. Now the way I'm interpreting it is that it is a limitation switch so the Nav does not work unless the screen is fully up. Another way to interpret it is that is a switch that stops the housing from moving further up once it has reached full height but I'm not seeing any feedback signal to tell the motor to stop.

I just need confirmation for anyone who has done this since I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before I start the installation.

Here are the diagrams from service manual:

Is the factory nav screen motorized? Is so, did you retain the function installing it into a non-nav G?

03-04 Nav housing are spring loaded and smaller

05+ are motorized and yes it works just like it came out of the factory except the nav buttons are just there for decoration and to fill the gap since everything else is aftermarket.

I can install a backup camera to my pioneer headunit and have it displayed to the screen if I wanted to. At this time I don't have a backup camera installed

Sweet! I'm on ebay now looking for a factory G navi housing. What kind of screen is that? Does it turn off when the screen retracts? I have a Eclipse headunit with nav in the DD right now. I noticed looking all the way down to the DD for directions takes my eyes off the road too long. I'm thinking of doing a aftermarket nav where the factory nav is. Maybe one of those 7" Magellan bad boys. Or if I'm feeling really adventurous, a 7" android tablet

It's a 7" screen with dual video input(Video 1 is my gauges, Video 2 is video output from my headunit so I can either watch videos or gps) I forgot the name but I don't think they make it anymore. It's a perfect fit I didn't have to cut anything except to make a groove for the electrical on the factory housing. The power for the screen I have it connected to ignition and it turns on with a remote and shuts down by itself when you turn off the car. The nav housing goes down by itself when the car is turned off or when you press the button on top and goes up by itself when the ignition is turned on if that was the last position when the ignition was turned off.

You can do whatever you want even do a car pc with a lilliput touchscreen in that location.
I wanted to keep my setup simple even though I would love to have a car pc instead.
