So that well known issue with the deck in the 2003 G35 sedan (and some other nissan vehicles from what I've read) has hit me.

A couple years ago we had issues with air con, and paid to get it fixed. Didn't realize it may have been part with the issues with the deck, etc.

Now, having tons of issues with the stereo, so even though the car is old, wife and I aren't going to be getting another one any time soon, so decided that we should just upgrade the deck (and I want new speakers and a woofer anyways).

However, I've read a bunch of stuff about losing the steering wheel audio controls and issues with the air con due to how Infiniti integrated everything.

I found mention of these 2 parts that, apparently, are needed to not have issues with the air con and the maintain steering wheel audio controls.
Can anyone confirm this?

I still have to figure out what deck is good (just need something that takes a USB stick, and ideally has internal storage if possible)...and i guess an amp, new speakers and a woofer... sigh

As for what decks to go with... 99% of them have USB inputs these days, and there's none with internal storage that are worth a damn, since external via an iPod is too easy.
