03 Coupe door panels...

Hey all, I'm in a bit of a bind... I just got my 03 V35 Skyline (AT) (i'm in the caribbean) and i took a few days off to clean it up, install speakers, etc.
I was hoping to make use of the great DIY docs on the site to guide me through some of the things. Unfortunately it doesn't seem as it the broken image links will be fixed in time for me to do some work on the car during this time off.

Today i had a go at removing the front door panel to have a look at the speaker, but was obviously missing something. I'm no stranger to removing door panels, but i could only seem to free up the bottom 1/2 of the door panel... I could see no more screws, tabs, etc than needed releasing. Using a flashlight I think i can see one area that on the inside that's still attached to the panel, but it seems that's attached just on the inside of the grip for the door - not the actual door handle, but the door grip that's in the center of the door, just behind the window controls.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? is there a screw there that needs releasing to take the door panel all the way off? It seems that the only way to get to such a screw would be behind the metallic finished cover of the door grip, but my attempts to remove it were not successful, it seemed like it would break rather than pop off.

I hope someone can shed some like on this...

Thanks.

Its much easier if we had some pics but I'll try to describe it.

There are 3 screws you have to remove.

2 are behind the finisher on the inside door pull, not the inside handle to open the door but the piece you use to pull it shut. on my 6MT its silver. You have to pry it off, if you look at the very bottom of this piece you'll see a slot you can fit a flat screw driver in. just tape up the end of the screwdriver to prevent damaging it. It takes a fair amount of force to get this piece off.

The 3rd screw is behind a little cover behind the inside door handle. use a small flat screw driver to pop this piece off to see the screw.

Wait I've found a pic that I saved from the Old G35driver.com DIY, I'll try to attach it.

Thanks much guys, that's exactly what i was hoping for! I was just afraid to use too much force on the finisher, I'll give it a try in the morning.
