help! 06 bose pioneer avh 4300

Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster. Heres the equipment
Jdm double din kit
pioneer avh 4300
metra axxess steering wheel controls.
PAC ROEM-NIS2
Metra 40-NI10

now heres the problem. last week i tried to install the setup and i got video, but no sound whatsoever, not even static.

Today We managed to get video and sound but... The volume is really low!

at about volume 36 (max is 40) you can hear it well but not loud at all. at 38-40 it gets very distorted.

also the player wont read cd's or my ipod. if that helps.

If anybody has any suggestions im open to anything at the moment. Or if your in the 562 Area and you wont mind checking it out ill buy you some in n out for a checkup!

Sounds like the ROEM-NIS2 is set up for high-level inputs and you're giving it low-level, but if it won't read CDs or your iPod, it could just be a bad unit. I'd return it for another.

Ive never used the PAC unit but i have everything else you have. I used the metra and it worked great for me. No cd or ipod? Most likely a bad unit
