hey guys,
i did a search but no clear answer.
my install guy just called and couldn't figure out the vehicle speed sensor wire location and color AND the reverse wire color and location.
please help as soon as possibe and i will keep searching on the forums.
i have a 2003 g35 coupe about to install a avn2454.

First off, if your installer doesn't have access to this sort of information you really should rethink who you are letting touch your car. All professional installers should have access to a database that contains all of this inforation. If your installer doesn't have access to this information I would look for a different shop that does.

Speed sense: white/green its in a brown connector at the cluster - pin 19

The reverse light wire should be light green and should be running down either the passenger side or driver side.

i verified the speed sensor color and location.
but is the reverse light color right????
someone emailed me that it was purple /silver and found in the trunk under the trunk liner. please verify.

It can be found in numerous locations. The TCU transmits a signal to the reverse light relay. The reverse light relay then transmits a signal that goes from the relay through the main body harness (changes colors at that junction) and then goes to the light. Verify all wires before using them of course. I used the ESM to find the reverse wire, the database I have on my laptop is only for security/remote start. The ESM was also for an 03 Z, not G, but most of the wires seem to be the same color.

Quick question. Did you ever verify whether or not the reverse write is on the passenger or driver side? And when you say passenger/driver side, do you mean in the door somewhere?

 

I never verified anything, I was just going off of the service manual. If I had to guess, I would say it was going down the passengers side, as in underneath the door sill (the wire goes from the BCM (I assume) to the rear reverse lights so it has to go the length of the car).
