2 sets of components, no 6x9?

Need some advise on my system build, I think I jumped the gun when I bought my system. I have 2 sets of 6 1/2 polk audio mm6501 component's and a pair of infinity kappa 693.9i 6x9. (thats 10 speakers total incl. t/w's) as for bass I haven't bought subs yet but I'm going with two JL 10"s.
But after doing research on here and asking around I got mixed suggestions about my highs in the rear. I heard: deleting the rear speakers to let the bass come in the cabin, delete speakers and cover holes, run the 6x9's speakers and delete the rear 61/2", run the both components on a 4ch then the 6x9 on a 2ch and obviously the subs on a mono block now I don't know what the hell I wanna do, I was thinking of running both 6 1/2" components and delete the rear 6x9's, leave the holes for bass. but would two sets of components be to much highs?
Id be happy to hear any suggestions. Thanks

I ran front 6.5" components and a set of 6.5" coaxials on the rear side panels, and sounds good. Some people run just the front components along with some subs and call it a day, just depends on what you want. The 6x9's aren't necessary imo, especially if you're adding subs.

The way you say "call it a day" makes you sound like it's incomplete. It's not. Front soundstage is basically how you experience life, there's no need to put sound behind you to compete with the higher quality speakers in front of you. Subs are omnidirectional, so you're fine to put them where there's space - in the trunk - and have a very good, complete system.

So no 61/2"s component speakers in the rear also ?
I already sound deaden the front doors and ran the wires thru the molex. I ran into a problem with my DD so I'm focused on that right now.

Yep. no rears. I had some decent ones hooked up in my car, sounded fine. Moved the fader from 100% forward to 50/50 split and couldn't hear any difference at all, so if I can't hear them why not put double the power to the higher quality ones up front?

Ima mount my 6 1/2" components in the rear with the tweeter in the center (like a coaxial) and see how that sounds... If I don't like it I'm gonna just leave the components up front throw some focal mid bass in the rear and the 6x9's.

i personally went with components up front, no rear, 6x9's, and two subs in the trunk. i dynamatted the front doors. the trunk does rattle so when i get up the money ima sound deaden the trunk, but the system sounds great.

if i was to do it again tho, i would prob do coax in the rear, component up front, and subs in the trunk

I went with JL's best components up front, best coaxial in rear, no 6x9 and JL 10" W6 in 4080 box.
500w JL amp to sub and 400w to the cabin speakers. Everything JL and love the sound. And definately dynamat everything.
