JDM Dual AC Control solder

i remember seeing a thread about a member who was doing the soldering service for a fee, any idea who it was? i cant seem to find that thread.

I know its easy to do and i have a laser welder in my shop but honestly i know i wont have the time for it for easy 2 months or so.

Might as well i'm having the unit shipped to me, id rather have it complete ready to go

any help is greatly appreciated

Uhh dude it takes about 10 mins of your time and if you don't have 10 mins then ur life is hectic. Also I would use a soldering gun/solder. It is a small circuit bored and idk if the laser welder would work right.

ya i saw the video, but the DD kit is free shipping to states and not to canada, so might as well get it shipped for free to the person whos doing it and then pay shipping to canada
just an idea

I didn't have the desire to mess with soldering a microswitch, and I felt like the risk of my "world class" soldering "abilities" failing once the car was put back together was too great when all it cost to pay the local laptop repair shop to do the work was $30.

It was worth $30 to me to not have to take the interior of the car apart to get to the AC circuit board if something were to go wrong. Sometimes it's best to recognize one's limitations.

not only the messing with it, i have to buy a soldering gun if my laser machine cant weld it, and my time on it is not worth the 30 bucks its gonna cost me, i honestly doubt I'm gonna be able to touch it before end of February anyways

but yeah if anyone can help me with the info i need that would be great

You can get a soldering pen for less than shipping would cost, and you'll be able to solder the wiring harness together instead of using crimps, which is a good thing, but I'll do it free if you ship it to me and include a shipping label to get it to you. I've got extra buttons from my old board too, so I don't need your old one. You will have to transfer the plastic button yourself, unless you ship the old trim my way too.

Also, I haven't had much luck transferring the LED, but might be able to do it if my wife gives me a hand with my a second soldering pen.

PM me and I'll give you a shipping address, the sooner the better, as I'm going on a very long business trip in early January. The swapping only takes a few minutes, so so long as you ship it out soon, I'll get it back out to you.

Why not just buy a jdm dual ac control? That way you don't have to do any soldering. Or am I missing something?

03-04 JDM trim doesn't have dual as an option, since the JDM vehicles didn't have dual climate control, so soldering is your only option.

As for the 05-07, if you get a deal on a used one without dual, you'd have to solder it, but most suppliers charge the same for dual or no dual, so you shouldn't have to if you're purchasing new.

I don't think the dual zone climate control was something offered in the JDM.
