So, does anyone know what the repair places do when it comes to fixing the broken bose head unit? There are tons of posts of people reporting the problem but so far unfortunately I haven't come across any repair details.

I have taken out the head unit, now wish I knew how to fix it. Sending away the unit as I know some have done is not an option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

There are several things that go wrong with it, so there's no simpler explanation, and fixing one of them won't keep the others from happening, so it's not recommended to put any money into the factory unit. put it towards an aftermarket unit instead.
