Kenwood DD wiring

for the people that installed a dnx7120 or similar with a reverse camera. Is the video spouse to show up on the screen when the car is in reverse? I hooked up the reverse sensor wire to the reverse lights and nothing happens I even tried testing it to a 12v source and it still wouldn't show up on the screen unless I push the RCAM button . I want it to pop up right when the car is in reverse on its own.

About to tackle the same install this Saturday, assuming everything arrives here...did you hook it up to the parking sensor and mute wire as well?

I wired the parking sensor wire (light green) to ground so I can watch movies/ music videos while I'm driving.

For mine I bought the video bypass and went blue-white from radio to blue on bypass, light green on radio to green on bypass, and then tapped into the ground...the NAV works fine, DVD plays whenever, but I think it's the Kenwoods themselves that makes you have to switch between screens, because I have to also!

FYI, the video bypass is only 7 bucks off EBay and it's gotta quick turn around!

I attempted taking that route and it didn't work for me, which is why I got the bypass lmao?! I tried grounding directly to frame, as well as just catching another ground wire and neither were successful...what would the purpose of the blue/white wire have in it then??
