Hi! I actually don't own a G35, but my brother does.

Anyway, I got him an antenna and a Clarion Sirius tuner for Christmas. I just have a few questions about the satellite radio parts. He was just talking to me today and said that it might not work in his pre-wired '04 sedan with the stock deck. I called the dealer and asked what I would need to do the installation, and they told me I'd need the Clarion tuner, an antenna, and the wiring harness... Which is odd, considering his car is PRE-WIRED for satellite radio, so why would I need the harness? I shouldn't, right? I know I read some where that you could check to see if you needed the harness by lifting up one side of the rear seat and if there was a blue port there, you wouldn't need one. I haven't done that yet, but I'll check it tomorrow. I just want to ask the experts around here since I'm a n00b about G35s.

Also, my brother mentioned that the non-OEM tuner (which is the one I bought for him) has different ports than the OEM one. Has anyone here had problems with their non-OEM tuners, whether it's installing it or reception quality?

And my final question.. I heard that the window mount antenna was supposed to be out quite a while ago. I bought him a low-profile roof mount antenna, but he prefers the window mount. Is that one out yet? And if so, how much is it? Is there any way to mod the low-profile roof mount Terk antenna so it sits inside the car without losing reception quality or anything of the sort?

I'm also looking for info on the new window-mount sirius antenna. They should be out any time now. If out already, does anyone have a photo of it installed? Also, does anyone know the size of the antenna?
