unusual problem with stereo system and transmission

i am running a pioneer avic d3, jl 500/1, and eclipse sw8122.4 subwoofer.

when i crank it up, i get transmission stutter when shifting, both in auto and manual mode.

Kind of like it shifts, but not completely, and gives the car a little jerk.

Am i pulling too much power or something? Never had this happen in any of my other cars.

Don't know where to begin. Only when system turned up considerably high

Try the "Big 3" upgrade and a grounding kit, a upgraded battery wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks for the info. I'll check battery first.

Capacitors aren't worth mentioning anyway. They don't do anything but complicate the system.

YEah, I get the engine stutter really bad...... very jerky. I bought a yellow top optima and ran 4 gauge form the alternator to the battery. What else is left? I know that I need to probably ground the battery better. I think part of these are the "Big 3" that I keep hearing about. What exactly are they? Thanks

the transmission bellhousing to chassis - provides more current to flow for the tranny's electrical systems(some ppl argue this as optional, up to you)

valve cover base to chassis - lets current flow better for the rest of the car's electrical systems

alternator to chassis - everything is powered through the alternator when the car is on, so better current flow is needed

and upgrade the battery's ground too - neg terminal to chassis
