Still can't get door buttons to work.

I tried everything. I tried resetting the ecu (Ik nothing to do with the buttons but why not) with my cobb accessport and same as before. I even bought a new window motor thinking it was that for 125 dollars. Still same symptom.

2004 g35 coupe

-Passenger buttons will not illuminate or work.

-Driver side buttons illuminate but lock button and passenger window button do not work.

-Driver side button for driver window does fast ticking noise when pulling up the button (tick tck tick) and a noise when pressed that sounds like a motor is having a hard time spinning (thus why I thought it was the window motor).

*car has directed remote starter and alarm system that I did not install. or know who did for that matter. I bought it this way from the dealership in 05. (warranty is out)

PLEASE IF U HAVE ANY INFO HELPPPP. IDK what else to check.

have you checked your fuses and for any spliced/cut wires?

The first thing I would do is pull the door panel off and try to measure for voltage at the drivers side window motor. If you don't have voltage there work your way back to the BCM.

It's possible that the installation of the remote start involved running wires in to the doors. This could have damaged pins in the electrical connector between the cabin and the door. Also, if they didn't seal the hole back up it could have allowed water to drip on the BCM and damaged it.

Unfortunately for you, the G35 has a fairly complicated power window system. The door switches have a serial link between the BCM and the BCM does all the high current switching. The only way you're going to get anywhere is to start measuring voltages and work you way back to the problem.
