Diamond Audio
JL Audio
Dynaudio
Boston Acoustics
Morel
Canton
Adire
Placed in no specfic order, just as it came to mind.
You're going to have to listen them to know which you're going to like. All have very different sound. Gotta know price range too. Even for the other things, there are too many unknown variables here to make any proper recommendations.

Hmm i've got a decent setup...
Fronts.... Focal components
rear seat panels... JBL 6.5" mid drivers
rear deck... JBL 6x9 3 ways
sub... Memphis 10" in a ported box
4G wiring

I have two amps
one Memphis pushing the components and mid drivers
and another pushing the 6x9s and sub. It's fuggin loud and I can be completely happy at 15-17 on vol... or be an assh@le to the neighbors at peak vol! Its clean. Its an awesome setup for the price I got it at. 1250 OTD! Im very happy now that I think back to the Bose stuff that used to be in there. Oh, and I added a bunch of Dynamat to the rear section of the car. It really does help!

Hey TINMAN in my old ride i had all JL Audio stuff, all the stuff i had in the Altima i will be putting on my new G35 sedan. I had 2 JL amps a 300/4 and 500/1. The 300/4 powered the xr650csi in the front doors and tr690s that were in the rear deck. The 500/1 powered the 12w6v2 that i have in a ported box. The deck was an Alpine 9833, all the cable was monster cable and i had dynamat in the trunk aswell as the doors. Ill be transfering all this stuff to my G in the upcomig weeks I cant wait, my G did no come with 6x9s so i will be putting the JL xr6x5 coaxials in the rear doors. I absolutely love JL stuff its a bit pricey but in my opinion its worth every penny. Good luck with ur setup i hope this helps.

Alot of people like Focal too, even in the home audio world the makers of Focal, Jm Labs, are well liked. Personally I think they are way too mechanical. I auditioned a set for my home 2 channel setup and was not that thrilled with them. But like I said before, its all personal preference.

first, you need to decide how much you want to spend
second decide what youre looking for- sound quality? overall volume capabilities? a little of both?
third, many will say you should audition speakers yourself at car audio shops. i agree. if you cant do this though, you should say how you like your sound- for example, warm, bright, etc.

thanks for all your replies guys.please keep them coming.
here're some answers to your questions

first, you need to decide how much you want to spend.
a)i can spend anywhere from $1 to $2000.

second, decide what youre looking for- sound quality? overall volume capabilities? a little of both?
a)both,7 part sound quality and 3 part volume cap.

third, many will say you should audition speakers yourself at car audio shops.
a)at audio shop, the surounding is not like inside the car.so i was hoping that you guys can tell me from personal experience.meaning the actual sound coming from the set up inside the G.what i'm looking for is LOUD & CLEAR.
thanks.

(edit) one thing i didn't mention, head unit.what do you have?

Tinman,
1. Is that $1k to $2k for exactly what? Front speakers, amps, and sub? Does this include enclosure? Or accerssories? Headunit? Installation? Cost of double din conversion? I ask this because by the time you add in cost of say a 4080 sub enclosure, double din conversion, labor and accersories you've almost eaten into half your budget.

3. Yes the shop surrounding is different from the car, but you can know the differences of one speaker to the next. Plus my perception of warm may not necessarily be you're perception of warm.

Everyone wants LOUD and CLEAR, thats just so general.

Let me ask you a question Tinman. Do you have an audio system you listen to at home? And if yes what are you using in that system. And what type of music will you be playing. Might help narrow things down. Just some food for thought.

Steve,
If you have 1k to 2k to spend on speakers alone I will go for the Boston Acoustics Z series. Guarantee you will fall in love with them.

I complete agree with that statement. I have a pair of Boston ProSeries 6.5 right now, and I love it. To me, it has the right balance between warmth, bright, power handling/loudness, and base. The Z series should be much better in the base and power handling department. I tested MB Quart and JL before I bought the Bostons. But my preference does not mean you'll have the same. Just go and audition the speakers, that's the only way you can tell what you like. I think everyone has their brand preference, and mine is Boston.

Auditioning is the best thing to do. It will also let you know if you really need to spend $1k on a pair of speakers. If you can't tell the difference from a $500 pair of speakers and a $1,000 pair, then why pay the extra $500 right? Most of the brands we've listed you can't go wrong with. Its really going to come down to preference. Gather up some of your favorite CD's and start going to different audio stores. Bringing your own music can make a world of difference, especially music you know by heart.

You kinda have to take the recommendation with a grain of salt when it comes from someone whose going to prosper from you buying that product. But I don't know that guy.

Since you mention Polk audio for your fronts in your home audio setup, why not look into a set up from them for your car. Most companies who produce car and home speakers use very similar drivers. Also since you're on a budget Polk may be the way to go since I think they can be had fairly inexpensively.

Your budget is definitely going to be the limiting factor. May want to look at installing the system yourself. Like I said earlier if you get the system installed professionally and buy all the proper accessories, double din kit, and look at a subwoofer enclosure you've already eaten up half your $2,000 budget. May want to look at starting with head unit, fronts and amp to run fronts then move onto subwoofer and amp to run subwoofer later on.
