Need Help With Powered Subwoofer Options?

I am looking for a powered subwoofer for my g35 sedan that is equipped with Bose (Blows) System. I have been looking into these products:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777B8PT...ered+subwoofer

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777B8P/...ered+subwoofer

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108BASS...ered+subwoofer

I'm not looking for anything too big just something to upgrade the stock system because the stock sub makes a rattle noise at certain frequencies and I have had a bad experience with that sub as i replaced it once already.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should get or do to enhance my audio system?

any of those will work fine, just don't expect to get a ton of bass. they will probably be louder than the stock sub, however.

don't forget to disconnect the stock BOSE sub when you're installing..

I was going to tap into the stock amp using the stock Bose system as this:

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...se-system.html

Should I not do this should i just remove the stock sub and not worry about it?

you can do it either way:

LOW LEVEL = BEFORE THE AMP (input) = RCAs (no need for an LOC, its already low level. you can literally cut one end of the RCAs off, and connect the sheild to neg, center line to pos for both)

HIGH LEVEL = AFTER THE AMP (output) = actual speaker leads (for the all in one sub combo you're buying, you can use an LOC from here to convert to RCA (which becomes low level), or, just extend this pair with another length of wire straight into the "high level input" you see on the sub combo.

If you're handy, cut one side of a pair of RCAs off and do some soldering on the input side of the amp.

If not so much, buy an LOC and grab the high level coming out of the amp.

I would disconnect the factory sub either way.

What do you suggest I get then I don't want anything to take up a lot of trunk space and I don't want a huge setup just a step up from the Bose system.

honestly, they'll work fine for a non-enthusiast, its obvious you're not looking to knock the block down.

I had 2 12" kickers before in a different car that had a weak trunk and the rattle wasn't even enjoyable and I'm not looking to waste a lot of money but I do still have that same amp i used with that system I just don't want a huge system and wouldn't like to take up much space thats why I'm not sure what to do.

I was thinking about just getting a 10" kicker or even buying an 8" free-air sub and putting it wear the stock Bose sub is and adding an amp screwed next to the sub under the panel but i wasn't sure how the would work if it would just rattle as well or not.

Yeah I think I'm going to hold off a bit to figure out what I'd like to do.

I have a Kenwood Excelon KAC I forgot which wattage though and I'm not home at the moment to check but i know it was enough to power 2 Kicker 12".

I was thinking about since I have that amp should I just run a 10" kicker to that sub and call it a day or would it not work well because the amp holds a lot of wattage compared to what the sub gives out.

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to audio equipment so forgive me if this question is dumb.

Ya I am running a 2000 watt amp, with 2 RE subs. Should BUMP nicely. Honestly it set me back 700 for subs and amp and my custom setup. But I work at a custom auto shop. BUT I cant GIVE discounts out. I would love to but..... ANYWAYS. If you can hold off for a bit, Diamond has some AMAZING things coming out. DD is a great brand. If your looking for quality I would go with DD or RE or Diamond. JL and Alpine are GREAt to pound. But some will swear by those brands. I love alpine and hate Kicker. Its just completely me. I done like square subs. Anyways im rambeling if you have questions you can always PM me.

the new RE is garbage, its all imported from overseas now. Back when they were made in the US, they were the ****.

I pretty much hate all mainstream speaker brands... HU's and Amps are a diff story (but even then..)

DD is great, but they're really $$$...

I enjoy Fi, Sundown, Ascendant Audio, SSA, Incriminator Audio, American Bass, Audioque, Skar, Obsidian Audio, etc.. for woofers.
