I recomend you try using a better quality CD-R .. sometimes they dont play or play crapp when they are of a cheap quality... Also, make sure the MP3 or Wav file is of good quality.. if that doesnt work you may want to clean the CD player... good luck,....

3 things you can do:
burn songs with a better CD-R (usually the more expensive ones look more dense)
burn songs at a lower speed (i don't think you need to go anything lower than 8x)
keep trying to put the same cd in and out until it reads

I've burned lots of CD's that work on my old computer. Same discs, same Nero. the only 3 diff's are the drive, the burn speed and I used CD-TEXT. I'm going to burn one w/out CD-TEXT to see if that changes things. Can our cars even read CD-TEXT? The CD works on every other player, so it's not corrupt.

Seriously, car mfgr's really have their heads up their @sses when it comes to putting nice stock stereos that actually work. And every car needs a 1/8" AUX input for portable devices!
Yes, it does.... Dunno about the 04/03... but in the 05, pressing and holding the "DISP" (display) button will enable the CD-Text to work... however, it only works with Mp3 CD's.

The only thing I play in my 03 coupe is CD-Rs. They work great. However, the first head unit that came with the car had issues reading CDs (ANY CDS) after the car had been running for about an hour. The second HU works flawlessly with everything.

Make sure you close or finalize the CD when you burn it. It prevents you from writing anything else to the CD, but it also makes it more compatable with CD players.
