What DD Deck do you Metra Kit users have?

If I can't find a decently priced JDM DD kit, imma just go Metra. I got the Metra kit before, but sent it back cause of the head unit not fitting. So what do you Metra owners have?

What do you consider a "decently priced" JDM DD? What is your price range? Sometimes you can catch them used in the classifieds for 200+ . I personally paid $295 shipped for mine brand new from O.C. Infiniti.

Probably around 160. I don't understand why they made such a defective *** radio... then make the price of a JDM DD that much. If anything, they should be repairing radios for free since it seems to happen to ALL G's. But imma look in the classifieds for one. Cause if I have to pay around 300, i'll just deal with the uglyness of a Metra and when I sell the car, put the stock radio back in.

I have had a Kenwood DNX8120, Sony XNV-770bt, a Pioneer Z3, and an Eclipse 5510.

All double dins and I didn't have any fitment issues.

JVC KW-HDR720. It says fits in the G on Crutchfield, but it wouldn't fit in the DD without looking REALLY outta place. Since you said all those fit with no problem, I guess most touch screens should fit. I'll just get the measurements of those and look around.

Do you mean the depth of the head unit?

Some stick out a little more than some would like.

Also, the JDK kit doesnt give you a trim ring to go around the headunut, you will need to make your own

Its hard to explain why it wouldn't fit. Think cause it was just to big. It wouldn't stick out far enough.

I just installed a JVC KW-ADV794 I used a dremel to file the inside of the JVC trim ring and now it sits flush on the sides of my JDM dash kit. Are you trying to use the sleeve that comes with it? I just bolted mine straight to the original dash bracket and didn't have any fitment issues, even my stock NAV went in smooth. You can buy the Scosche trim ring which will pop out the stereo it doesn't look bad either. Look at Wrathernauts post for Double Din Shopping list and go to page 52 its in there where SAMZG35 did some examples of using the JVC vs. Scosche.

Hey I ordered a Sony XNV-770bt the other day and would like to know if you can add a different background to it?
For example,on start up I would like for it to display the Infiniti logo.do you know if that is possible?

I dont think the Sony will do it.

Its a great deal if you find it for around $600..I would never pay $1200
