Running cables/wires from HU to trunk
Anyone have any suggestions, instructions, or tricks to do this? I need to run 2 RCA cables and a 12 volt wire to the area where the factory SAT receiver is in the trunk. Does this require removal of the rear seat etc?
Please help! Thanks for all your past suggestions. GF

Run the RCAs from back of deck, under steering column, under driver door sill, under backseat side panel (held on by plastic clips), wedge wires in back seat groove (lower your back seat to do this), and into trunk UNDER metal bracket (there are little holes in the metal where you can fish the wires through). No need to remove the backseat really.
Run the 12 V wire from HU under upper glovebox, above lower glovebox, under passenger door sill, under backseat side panel, wedge into backseat groove and into trunk same way as RCAs on opposite side. Reason why you run power lines down passenger side is b/c if you have an aftermarket amp, you would want to run your amp power line down passenger side to access firewall grommet for more direct line to battery located on that side of car. ...as opposed to the driver side which is on the opposite side of your car's battery.
You want you power wires and RCAs as far apart to minimize alternator whine. It also helps if you use good RCA interconnect cables. I used the StreetWires ZeroNoise3 interconnects and absolutely no whine even at 0 volume. Also, make sure your ground your wires well too to minimize alternator whine as well.
Hope this helps...
