Hiiiiiii!!! I've been reading and learning at the forum every time i need help on my g35. This is my first post finally!!!!
I went to the local car stereo shop, and the guys quote me $1200 for all the parts and labor to replace my factory stereo.

Pioneer 3400BH + JDM DD + steering wheel control + misc harness and adaptors (sorry i'm a newbie, dont know all the model numbers)

Is $1200 too much for these install?

thankssssss

$1200 is a lot my quote was $800 with 4 new speakers JDM DD and a pioneer nav/DVD...my guy doesnt charge that much for labor or sometimes no labor charge. I'm going to get it done soon. Shop around $1200 is a little expensive

looks like you have about $700ish in parts... looks to be a little on the high side for labor

You should ask your dealer how much they are charging you for labor. Kind of sounds expensive.

Yeah, that's a $400 stereo (generously), $320 JDM kit, $40 steering wheel adapter, $15 antenna adapter, $40 or $10 harness or PAC ROEM-NIS2.

$400 in labor is too much.

If they're charging $200 or less in labor, it's fine, just buy the parts yourself from my shopping list and bring them in.

Orrr you could uses Wrathernauts list and guide to install yourself. Then put the other $700 you save toward a sub something else.

why not just order the parts yourself on ebay. save ALOT of money. then take it to them to install. most shops charge 90-120 in labor
