Simple sub/amp...

Is this possible to do? Someone explain to me how I would add a nice 12" sub and amp to the stock bose system.. I've heard you have to go through hell to integrate anything..

If all you want to do is add some bass... it's not that difficult. Just tap the signal BEFORE the bose amp (amp is in the trunk to the left of the spare), then wire them to amp of your choice/location, and run power from the batteries to amp.

Should take a couple of hours, but having done it myself... it's not that hard of an install if your technically sound with taking things apart and putting them back together.

Oh, and you'll need a subbox as well. You can make one, or user "4080" makes one for ~$300 custom molded to the left of your trunk.

I made my own sub and it took me a LOOOONG time. But if you have time and you think it's fun, you can do a search and find some info on making your own.
