Tweeter Issue

sup g35 drivers. i drive an 04 coupe with the bose package. few months ago, my driver side tweeter started crackling so i replaced only that single tweeter with a $8 set off ebay. when i play CD the driver side tweeter is off and the passenger one operates as it should. then when i switch to tape( i have a cassette to aux adapter) or radio, the driver side tweeter plays music as it should as well. i have tried adjusting my balance but when i add more to the left.. the driver side tweeter still doesn't play any sound at all. anyone know a fix?

Check your wiring, you may have a short. If the wiring's good check your tweeters, you have an $8 set from eBay.

If there was a short, it wouldn't work at all would it? (not in a dick tone lol)
I'll try and swap it out for the other left over tweeter since I'm planning on putting some loctite on all the bolts in the door.. **** rattles so much.

Well, the wiring for the tweeter splits at the door, so at least your area for diagnosis of a loose wire is all contained in the door. If it's not in the door itself, it's a problem with the signal not including any of the frequency range that normally would be output by the tweeter.

Amp failing can have a lot of strange symptoms like that.

Oo that would be so bad lol as for my stock Bose amp, I did splice into it to hook up a subwoofer setup.

You'll be happier with your sound quality if you end up replacing it...
