Blendmount + Valentine 1 - with pics
Original thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...ents-pics.html
3 years after buying my original Blendmount, I finally sold my 03 G35, and got 2011 G37. And, in haste, I lost one of the Blendmount screws! Emailed Blendmount, and Frank was kind enough to NOT ONLY hook me up with replacement hardware, he went and sent me the NEW version of Blendmount. This is the sort of customer service that will keep me a loyal customer for years to come.
So, here are some side-by-side pics - see attachments. You can see my old mount, which looks bulky, and still has the Valentine 1 bracket on it. Lots of extra hardware.
The new Blendmount pivots, and is a LOT easier to install, believe me. It was practically a one-hand operation. A lot easier to adjust too.
The radar detector is connected using Invisicord 8", right into the powered mirror (black wire to black on the mirror, yellow to brown on the mirror).

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

I'm a big fan of the Mike's Mount/Invisicord combo, but am glad you got great service. That seems to be harder and harder to find these days. Here's my set up on an 05 sedan.

I did consider Mike's Mount, but I must say, the fit and finish of the new Blendmount looks top notch, and I'm glad I chose it, despite being more expensive.
My mike's mount broke on me about a month ago... haven't gotten a replacement yet. Thinking of getting the Blendmount as well after seeing a friend's. I must say, although Blendmount is much more expensive than Mike's, the built quality, adjustability, and ease of use alone makes it way worth the money.

FREE AND has the BEST range compared to any other mount. Also I do not like leaving proof behind that I have a radar detector and with the current location police have no idea that I have a radar and pass judgement. Also help deter thieves compared to mikes/blend mount which is smack dab in the middle of the windshield and takes up your vision.

Detector performance is enhanced by a high mounting position. Two reasons. For radar, a longer sight line to the horizon always helps. For laser, moving away from the hood and its sun reflections helps a lot.

mine is on the other side of the rear view mirror
I agree, I like this look better than a radar mount.
Use a $5 phone cord for the power. Which can easily be tucked back into head liner so now one sees that you MAY have a radar in your car when you park your car in public areas.
