Another question. Did you ever consider a Honda XM antenna? They look like a Terk only no wire. Probably requires drilling a hole in the roof, if done right leaking should not be a problem.
I guess you could run the Terk wire through the car. But drilling the roof does not appeal to me.

Quote: For a pre-wired car do you need to take out the dash and center cosole to plug in the sat receiver or is all the work done in the trunk?
All the wiring is waiting for you in the front right corner of the trunk. You do not need to take the head unit out, assuming the car is pre-wired.

RacerX,
Tnx for the info, sat antenna replacement will be one of my first mods. I think that the OEM antenna is just plain hideous.

Sat Radio Install
Quote: I would like to do the same. Is it really that easy? Is their a thread in the DIY section. I'm in the Bay Area, anyone know who has the best price?
I just had a Sirius receiver installed by Auto Sound and Security in San Jose, CA on Capitol Expwy. Tony and his guys not only did a fabulous job but also put the antenna (Terk Xmicro) on the rear deck for me-exactly what I asked for. The unit and install only cost me $350. The unit itself was $265. So for the install was way less than the $350 the dealer was going to charge me and $100 less for the unit. I saved a ton and they really did a great job!
