Am I due for a new radio?

Hi guys,
Im not the most active member on the board but Im having some issues with my G. I have a 2007 fully loaded g35 coupe 6mt. In the past few months my bluetooth doesnt work at all, it constantly disconnects from my iphone and my steering wheel radio controls work every now and then. Is it time for a new radio? Do I need a new bluetooth unit to fix that issue? Should I take everything apart and see if everything is plugged in tight?

-Chris

The steering wheel controls go through the bluetooth unit before the headunit, so if there's something going wrong with the bluetooth, that's a very likely cause of the problems you're seeing.

It could be a simple loose connection on the harness, but if it's something more, you'll need a replacement unit. Posting up a WTB might work, as the bluetooth unit's not of much use after you get a new headunit.

if it is the radio, you should not get OEM. just upgrade to an aftermarket .

It's under the rear deck on sedans, and I believe it's by the spare in the coupes.

Can anyone confirm where the unit is on the coupes? I found a used bluetooth unit on ebay for $138. But before I buy that i would like to confirm that everything is connected tight.

It's here:

This is underneath a piece of black molding to the left of the spare tire as you look at it. Couple screws to remove for the molding and then you'll find your bluetooth unit.
