Headlight Modding Problem
Headlight Modding Problem - Need Help.
Hey - I need some help here,
I have a 2005 G35 Coupe with the stock headlights with clearance strip. I bought an LED strip to replace the single bulb at the top of the clearance strip. I had to open the headlights up (baking them in the oven and opening), and layed down the strip to fill the clearance strip with LED's the entire way down instead of just the single bulb as I said before. I also bought a cheap(ish) ($35) angel eye type of deal thing bottom (high beam) circle.
So after that introduction to what I've bought.. here's my problem, I have a major wiring problem now. I tried to snip the thing that holds the singular bulb going into the clearance strip at the top of the headlight and just solder the wires together from the new strip wires and the cut singular bulb. After attempting to do that, my fuse blew (the lights for the clearance light and side markers would not work now). I figured out, after some research, where to check this and sure enough it was blown.. I bought new fuses (and tried different things) and ended up having all of those 5 fuses blown. I don't know what I need to do in order for that not to happen.. it seems to be over surging and blowing the fuse, like there is too much electricity..
Any electrical advice?
(Sorry if this wasn't explained well)
