One reverse light blown - wiring suspected

My left reverse light is not working. I am running 5w Cree leds. The LEDs are fine, I tried swapping from side to side and the one on the right side always works. Does any one know what the problem is? Do they operate on seperate fuses? Any one know where the fuse is?

What year/make/model is your vehicle? Do you have a volt meter?

I would assume there is one wire running back and it hits one socket then goes to the next. I would check the sockets for loose wires, loose grounds, and corrosion.

Its a 2003 G35 Sedan, yes I have a multimeter Ill have to check it out with that.

Do you mean you think that its one power supply going into the trunk which then splits into 2? That would be relatively easy to fix. I know that the sockets are fine because I switched the sockets back and forth as well, and it made no difference.

Yeah, and this forums is more like "what tweeters would match this sub". This is the audio/video/electronics forum, not electrical.

Best thing to do is try the stock bulbs instead of the LEDs to see if the problem persists to narrow it down to something stock or with the LEDs. Aftermarket LEDs, especially the cheap ones, are known to burn out and take some of the stock wiring with them.

Well I know the LEDs and the sockets are good because I tried switching them back and forth. I dont think that the wiring blew due to them, as the stock bulb uses about 18 watts, and these use 5 watts.

Its too bad that there isnt an electrical forum
