Trying to find an LOC

Hey all - I currently have a JL audio 500/5 powering my whole system. I am using the stock headunit, so I used twisted RCA's cut in half and spliced them into the wires coming from the headunit that go into the amp. Well, my amp has taken a crap and I need a new one. I would like to get the Alpine PDX-V9, but according to Alpine, this amp does not accept a balanced differential input, so I will need to find an LOC that will convert the signal to single-ended. Does anyone know of a good LOC to get that will do this?

A LOC doesn't change the signal from balanced to unbalanced, so you have to put it in behind the bose amp, and by reintroducing the bose amp to the chain, you're going to notice a huge SHIfT in sound quality.

I'd find an amp that accepts balanced, perhaps just replace the JL with another JL.

Yeah, I was considering that option too...I just was kinda wanting a different amp, but I think that may be my only option now. Thanks for your response.

Honestly, you're best off getting rid of the stock headunit anyway. You will have to sooner or late, due to the extremely common failure of our headunits, so you might as well do it so you can use the amp you really want.
