I'm looking to upgrade my Bose premium stereo (2003 Coupe) with a double din deck. Can anyone recommend a nice deck for 600 or less that will utilize all the speakers properly and may even provide a bit of better sound. The only thing changing would be the stereo and trim obviously.

 

Do you need navi or no?

Most 2011-2012 units are full of features even at $600
Pioneer makes a great radio with lots of function and adjustments
Kenwood head units are really nice and to me sound better than pioneer. The interface is a little slow but its worth it.

Almost all will have ipod and bluethooth.

I would shop on sonic electronix and/or crutchfield.com

remember to budget $100-$300 for the dash kit and wires

 

You looking for $600 for the entire conversion or just for the stereo?

I'd go with the Pioneer 3400BH or 4400BH.

The built-in navigation in pretty much every unit these days pales in comparison to a $99 garmin and adds $300 or more to the price of the headunit. Older ones (Pioneer Z110, Z120 and Kenwood 9900 series) at least let you use voice control, now that got removed, probably to avoid potential lawsuits with Apple over something stupid like that.
