So while trying to install ipod adapter I think I broke the radio/ ac

So I was installing my Grom Audio ipod adapter to the back of my factory stereo(2005 G35x sedan no navi), I had everything hooked up and turned the car on and now the radio doesn't even turn on and my AC is stuck in the ON position at 75degrees.

One part of the install was to disconnect the 12v constant wire and attach it the to the grom module. I feel like this might have messed it up?

Is there any way this problem can be fixed without me having to purchase a OEM stock radio replacement?? I'm thinking of getting an aftermarket DD install after this but all indications is that its going to cost me +$500.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The +12v has to go to both the GROM and the stock radio.

I'll give that a try but I don't know. I touched the +12v back to the stereo unit without the GROM attached and it still wouldn't turn on or give controls.

I'm going to have the car in the shop until Tuesday, so I'll give it another look then. ..and also in my haste I didn't disconnect the neg battery connection and now I thin I might have fried the circuit board

May have popped a fuse. Remember, there's 3 fuse boxes - two in the battery compartment and the one at the driver's feet.

Ok. I'm leaving work early so I can look into this. I hope it is only the fuse, then I can just souder that +12v wire back together and hopefully be back in business.

Any idea where this specific fuse is located?

Wrathernaut you are the man.
I got everything to work.
First disconnected battery, then found and replaced blown fuse for radio in the fuse box next to battery.
After that I soldered the 12v constant back to the harness(because I was an idiot and thought that wire was only supposed to be connected the GROM unit, so I cut it from the harness) and then attached the GROM unit to the 12v constant also.

I reattached the battery and BOOM, we have ipod action. Thanks for your help. And I've read through these boards numerous times, You guys are all awesome for sharing your expertise. I learn a lot about my car each time I visit.

Thanks again.
