Questions about Alpine PXA-H510 Surround Sound
I just bought this unit to install in my 03 G Sedan. I have the Bose CD and I have upgraded the rest of the system as follows: Focal 165V2 components in the front doors, Focal 24V2 11" DVC Sub in custome Fiberglass inclosure, Mtx 6304 4 channel amp for the Comps, and stock rears, Mtx 4250D mono amp for the sub. Has anyone here used this precessor before? I really want the DSP featurs as well as the Prologic Surround. Also I have no intetions of adding DVD to the system. How good does this unit work? Any answers are appreciated.

what does the pxa 510 have that the 701 doesn't have? I thought the 510 is more for dolby digital and that is that. I don't recalled that processor has any eq function like the 701 does. I had the older pxa 700 before and love it. i think bkchang79 have the pxa 700 too. You might want to shoot him a message. I currently have the pxa h900 now.
to use the DSP function of the pxa 510, you will need a source that have optical output. The optical out from the source will go to the pxa 510.

So whats considered a good price on the pxa 701? is the 701 the updated version of the 700?

i don't know if the pxa h700 have the dsp field like you said. I use the pxa h700 for home theatre and eq only. from what i know, the 701 and 700 are the same except that the new 701 by default doesn't come with the controller. The controller cost extra. Also the 701 can be control from most alpine hu.
