Question Question on Aftermarket Stereos

I have an old double din kenwood (DNX 5160) system I want to throw into my coupe to replace the stock Bose system. i was just wondering if i'm going to HAVE to bypass the stock Bose amp when i install it. and if i do (or don't) will i lose sound quality? the specs on the internal amp on the kenwood is (22 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels) idk how that compares to the stock Bose amp.

also with the Bose speakers being 2 ohm will it sound like **** with the new unit? alot of people talk about the quality of the stock Bose speakers but i have no complaints so i wasnt planning on replacing my speakers or anything

You don't have to bypass it if you use the PAC ROEM-NIS2 as your wiring harness/adapter. The bose amp and speakers would continue to operate as usual with it installed.

The only reason you don't have complaints about the bose system is you haven't heard a halfway-decent system, let alone one costing 1/4 of what they charged for that "premium" system when new.

The $400 in Image Dynamics CTX-6.5cs and the amp to power them I just put in my wife's car this weekend completely, utterly, DESTROYS the entire stock bose system.

truee.. also are the HVAC controls sperate from the tray or is it actually a part of the bezel. for example i see a lot of them on eBay for sale with the HVAC controls for ridiculous prices and can't seem to figure out why anybody would need them if they are a seperate unit from the trim.

if i just buy this will i be ready to go?
