climate control issue

Ok, so, yes, I'm a noob. I actually just bought an 03 G35 coupe 6mt yesterday and I'm super stoked about it. Love the car.

Anyway, here is my problem. But before I start, yes, I already searched and searched and searched and could not find anything regarding this particular problem. So, the car has an aftermarket cd player in it and most of the climate control works as it should. The temp adjusts like it's supposed to and the fan adjusts as it should. However, when I press the mode button to switch from face, feet, split. . .all that, the screen shows it switching but the switch never happens. It stays on face no matter what setting is selected. Any thoughts?

Here is a link for a pic of the dash. . .

Thanks in advance for any help!

looks like the Metra kit???
if I was a betting man, I would bet your mode button is kaput, which means a whole new AC Controller..... but you'd have to have it looked at to confirm, but that's where I am placing my money

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it!

Update. . .so, I just went and started my car to head into work and a loud clicking started from behind the dash. I guess I had left the setting on split(even though it was only blowing on the face) when I shut the car off last. So, I switched it to face and the clicking went away. I tried to put it back on split or feet and the clicking came back. It is a loud clicking that goes away if I switch it back to just face. I'm guessing something might be stuck. . .

Anyone experience this or know what to do?

I'm heading into work but I'll check the post later for responses. Thanks again and in advance!

Clicking.... now we are probably talking air mix, or air door actuators.... probably have to get back there and investigate to get a real good idea what's going on
