I really hope someone on here can help me out. My main problem is that whenever my car is on my ac is on, doesn't what temperature it is outside the display for the ac is available but the display for the radio and everything is completely off, all the buttons light up at night but I have no control of the ac, radio, or anything else. This started after my passenger window went out, a few months after. Then after a couple months with the ac issue my radio turned of completely and i have been driving around to the sound of exhaust drone and ac blowing for a couple months now !!

So first passenger window motor died ----> ac has mind of its own ---> radio doesn't turn on at all.

If you guys have any ideas or anything I could try I'd be extremely grateful.

Im thinking maybe I have a short somewhere that is causing the connection of electronic failures ?

atleast if someone knows how i can disable the ac till I get it fixed that would be great too =]

 

You've got a couple of very common un-related problems. The motors can be cleaned up and put back in, or replaced completely, but the radio finisher board, which also controls the a/c and heat needs to be replaced completely by putting in an aftermarket radio, which will include new a/c controls on either the JDM kit or Metra kit.

 

However temporarily you should be able to pull the fuse to the ac and that would take care of that. You could also replace the Bose system with another used one but I'd advise aftermarket

 

Sounds plausible .. I'm glad it's not an electrical problem atleast .. Now just gotta wait and save up to get the double din kit .. Thanks alot for ur input .. As for the window motor I've replaced it a few times used to get them from auto zone but they don't carry it anymore .. They used to have that lifetime warranty on it .. I can return this one for a refund but do u know a place that sells these with a warranty?

 

No idea, but there's a DIY somewhere on this board for taking the motor apart to clean the motor.
